MSrelief ~ April 2011 Update

Is it going to keep working? I’m living my life the same way I have for years! I am a woman of faith, I live a clean life, I’ve overcome many emotional issues, purified and controlled my diet and gotten enough sleep (most days), the only thing that I’ve changed in the past year is the pharmaceuticals I’m taking!

I’m sure all the other things are helping me, who knows if the pharmaceuticals would be helping me this well without the lifestyle I’m living?!

I’m using Gilenya, Prokarin, and Ampyra.

I’ve always believed our bodies were created to heal themselves. If the MS was gone, if I gave my body everything that it needed, I would remain healthy. When I went through the Cytoxan (chemo) Treatment in 2008, with the help of Copaxone, my ms was put in remission. It stayed in remission until I went off the Copaxone. After I went back on that pharmaceutical, and the ms calmed down, I knew there was something I’m missing.

I’ll continue to search until I find that missing something. I have an appointment with my alternative Doctor, Dr. Vincent, for hormone therapy, I’m having my mercury amalgam fillings taken out at Dr. Hronkin’s office, I’m giving the H2O2 detox a try and if I’m right, I’ll get over this dreaded disease!

You know, if this isn’t enough, I’ll take advantage of the information as it’s presented to me and I’ll keep trying!!

As far as my walking goes, everyone with MS knows what I’m talking about when I say my thighs feel like dead weights.

For now it’s only my thighs. I am very grateful that I feel so good! I only have a little bit of pain in my lower back when I wake up in the morning and I think that’s due to the fact that I push down so hard on my walker handles when I’m walking, I call it walking with my arms. I need the power to lift the dead weight of my legs.

I’ll continue to strengthen my leg muscles and do all my other exercises.

It will be fun (I can say ‘fun’ now because I feel so good!) to see if my theory is true, that our bodies will be healthy if given the required lifestyle!

What do you think, do you believe in my theory? Tell me in the comments below, I’d love to know!

  1. I neglected to say that I’m also taking daily vitamins: Vitamin D3 50,000IU, L-Phenyalamine 500 mg, and a Multi-vitamin.

  2. Linda,

I love your video, and you look great! As you might guess, I am with you on our theory that our body is equipped to heal itself – God made us that way! I’ve been reading a lot about removal of mercury amalgam fillings, and it is of extreme importance that it is done by a well-trained and experienced professional. You have been doing your homework, Linda! Your body will continue to give you clues, and I believe you are on the right path. Detoxing is key to starting the healing process. I’m not familiar with the diet, though… now I’m curious, of course! 🙂

I will be anxious to hear how you are doing as you move forward. Oh, great that you’re supplementing with vitamin D! I’ll be praying for you and your Doctors. I believe you are correct in your theory that your body will flourish when given the proper lifestyle. This translates to the food we feed our body – knowing which ones may be beneficial for us and which ones need to be eliminated PLUS our environment/lifestyle. This encompasses the relationships in our life, nurturing a spiritual connection in our life, developing a positive mindset, and healthy movement.

    Big hug,
    Beth

  3. Thanks Beth! I appreciate your confirmation about what I’m doing! I’m glad you’re interested! The accountablilty helps a lot when I don’t feel like doing the most difficult exercises!
    Linda

    • It is my pleasure, Linda! I find you to be such an inspiration with your continued joy despite your circumstances. You are a true example of the fact that our internal peace and joy can exist despite our external environment and circumstances. 🙂
I feel truly blessed to have you as a friend and look forward to learning much more from you!
      Hugs,
      Beth

  4. That is great that you are feeling so good in the face of adversity! Keep it up!

  5. Thank you Andy! I’m eternally grateful for feeling well! I had always said I appreciated my health, yet after I lost it, I knew that I had really taken it for granted! It took me loosing it to really appreciate it!

  6. Hi Linda,

Wow you are an inspiration to me! You are so upbeat, happy and well adjusted despite all your problems. I don’t know how bad you were before you started with the natural approach to your health, but you certainly look amazing now.

I am sure you still have your bad days but I think it’s wonderful how much you you are helping other people by sharing your experiences and I very much hope that you continue to improve. You surely deserve to!

    With respect and admiration

    Sue

    • Hey Sue, thank you! I tease when I say, “I started showing my progress to the public to get all the compliments!” Not really though, I honestly want to help other people find joy living this dreaded disease, it truly can be done!
      Linda

  7. Linda,
As I read through your ms update, I empathized with you every step of the way. You have the attitude and determination to make things happen. In that respect, we are kindred spirits. I know you can and will accomplish whatever you set out to do.

Am very lucky to share this walk with you (no pun intended). There is a way to get through this wall and we WILL find it!

  8. Linda,

I believe you are right. I believe there is still something missing, and that you should continue to search for that/those missing pieces! And you are fabulous!

  9. Hey Linda, you look more beautiful every time I watch your video’s 🙂
It’s awesome that you’re documenting your progress, your information would be extremely valuable to others in a similar position.

Your absolutely right Linda, as you know, I believe our body is equipped to heal itself, given the correct environment, as in the positive thought patterns or mind set and the correct nutrition.

You are definitely on the right track with this. I have an audio recorded by a doctor with quite extensive information in relation to MS and the immune system, if you’d like to take it to your doctor to compare theories.

Keep shining Linda, you are a Star!
    In Health and Harmony

    Toni
