I was born in Michigan November 15, 1963, the second child of two wonderful baby boomers. My mom and dad were high school sweethearts, born and raised in Evart, Michigan. Mom & Dad moved my brother and me to the city of Clawson where we were part of the suburban craze of the 60’s and 70’s. I lived a fabulous childhood on a street with bunches of middle class families. We spent our school days walking to the local elementary school, then walking home again at lunch time, for a homemade lunch prepared by mom. In the summertime, we played with our neighborhood friends outside, riding our bikes everywhere, watching the high school marching band parade through the streets, tracking down the ice cream truck when we heard the music with rewards of “Drumsticks” and “Eskimo Pies”.
It was a wonderful life!
Cut to 1995 when I was diagnosed with MS and a speed bump was put in front if me. I had every intention to become a counselor when my kids were in school.
When the MS was put in remission in 2008, I started LindaGraceOnline.com. From there I found purpose in my circumstances and created Multiple Sclerosis-Relief.com. It wasn’t turned into a membership community until Trish Robichaud and I found each other.
Now Multiple Sclerosis-Relief is a community dedicated to proving that joy can be found while living with Multiple Sclerosis. The website brings together people with MS by allowing them to share their unique experiences without barriers or any preconceived ideas. www.MSrelief.com serves as a place that illustrates the power everyone has of finding joy in their reality through the exchange of information and dialog.
Since Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that is not fully understood, there is not just one clear path for people with MS, many have found success treating symptoms in various ways. The website allows everyone to share what works and what doesn’t work for them, leading to discussions and alternative ways of thinking.
Because it is difficult to diagnose, MS is sometimes referred to as the “Garbage Disease”. This is why MSRelief.com is a great resource for not only those suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, but their families as well. Multiple Sclerosis-Relief partners with both website subscribers as well as experts in the fields of homeopathic remedies, nutrition, exercise therapy, pharmaceutical treatments, and counseling services with the sole propose of helping others find joy.
MSrelief.com has inspirational stories, testimonials and helpful resources to support the needs of people with MS. This website features different people’s stories. Whether born in a small town in rural Alaska or Managua, Nicaragua, the stories will put human faces to a complicated and lonely disease.
MSRelief.com is much more than just another website, it a strong online community. It’s about cyber neighbors helping each other with tips, advice, suggestions, and finding joy in their sometimes scary reality.
