GCFLearnFree.org created a fabulous tutorial posted in Youtube.com.
As long as you have a computer and internet access you can participate in a Skype text chat. It is a free download. If you have a speaker on your computer you can talk and if you have webcams, you can see each other.
You can text chat with as many people as you’d like and you can see and be seen by one person using the webcam for free.
If you pay the monthly upgrade, you will be able to conference with up to 10 people on video and with audio-only group calls there can be 25 participants.
With or without a webcam, click here to download and install Skype
Skype will walk you through setting up your account.
You’ll be able to choose your user name. You can use what ever you want to be known by, If you are a network marketer, I suggest you use your full name for name recognition online. A Skype name can only be one word so it could be your FirstandLastname but use what ever you want.
Skype has so many features, don’t worry, it will take time to learn it all. For now, after you have your account set up, look at the bottom of the page and it says, ‘Add a contact’. Click there and it gives you a bubble to add information. If you look at the bottom it says Skype Name. If you know the Skype name it’s all you need.
When you type the “Skype Name” another bubble will open with a message that will be created and sent to your contact. They will be able to accept your contact and you can text/talk on Skype.
This modern technology is amazing! Whether it’s for work or fun, Skype is fabulous!
